For Boys and Girls Ages 8-18

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Gymnasiums and locker rooms open at 8:45 am daily.
  • Everyone learns the fundamentals, participate in competitive events and plays two full games each day.
  • There is a snack bar open for lunch on a daily basis where hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, soda, chips, as well as healthy snacks and drinks will be sold. Or you may bring your own lunch.
  • Awards ceremony will be held on the last day of each session. Parents and guardians are invited to attend.

 

 

 

 

 

ABOUT US

 

 

Bob Ward established the St. John Fisher College Basketball School in 1988. For over 20 years, the camp has grown to be one of the finest basketball camps in New York State. We expect a full capacity for the three sessions offered this summer !

 

 

 

Basketball School Directors

 

 

ROB KORNAKER
Director of Basketball Camp Operations and Head Coach of the St. John Fisher College Men's Basketball Team

Rob Kornaker is a 1990 graduate of Alfred University and has played four seasons for the Saxons, finishing his collegiate career with 991 points. Following his graduation, Kornaker began his coaching career at his alma mater as a graduate assistant before serving as an assistant coach. The 1986 Gates-Chili graduate then joined SUNY Geneseo for a three year stint as an assistant coach (1994-1997).

 

 

 

 

 

BOB WARD
Athletic Director and Former Men's Basketball Coach for St. John Fisher College

Bob Ward has served at St. John Fisher College in June of 1987. Prior to St. John Fisher College, he was the Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at George Mason University in Virginia (1985-1987); an Assistant at RIT (1982-1983) and at Nazareth College (1983-1985).

 

Bob is the original founder of the St. John Fisher College Basketball School, established in 1988. The basketball camp continues to deliver excellence year after year. This camp has been established for over 20 years.

 

 

 

 

 

JACKLIN RANDALL-WARD
Assistant Director of Daily Camp Operations

Jacklin Randall-Ward is a physical education teacher and 7th & 8th grade Girls' Basketball Coach at Honeoye Falls-Lima Central. Jacklin also coached J.V. Girls' Basketball at Rush-Henrietta, and coached at the Rush-Henrietta Summer Basketball Camp. Jacklin has been the Assistant Director with the St. John Fisher College Basketball School for over 15 years.

We make every effort to have one coach for every 8-12 participants. Our staff consists of a number of outstanding coaches who continue to join us year after year to personally work with our campers; and we are pleased that many are returning for their eleventh and twelveth years with us! Also, some of the top collegiate Division I, II and III players from the Rochester area and the Northeast assist in coaching at these camps.
